A beautiful northland elopement

If you envision a small, intimate wedding in a breathtaking, secluded location surrounded by your closest friends and family, then this story is perfect for you. Jack and Emily found their ideal setting at Braemar Station, where the stunning landscape served as a muse for their wedding style. The ceremony took place with the magnificent backdrop of Lake Pukaki and Mt Cook, and they incorporated locally foraged foliage into their decor. Emily's creative talents were on full display as she crafted everything from macrame to styling for the ceremony and reception spaces. Their friends and family joined forces to help with decorations, and Jack even built the light stands for their festoon lights, turning their wedding into a collaborative community effort.

Emily shared her thoughts on the day, emphasizing their desire to spend every moment together, including getting ready simultaneously. Without a traditional wedding party due to their intimate guest list of just 23 people, they felt that everyone present was already an integral part of their special day. Jack's involvement in helping Emily into her dress was a particularly meaningful moment. They continued this togetherness throughout the day, even walking down the aisle hand in hand to embark on their journey as husband and wife. Of course, they couldn't forget their beloved dog, Mowgli, who was part of the celebration from start to finish. The choice of venue was influenced by Mowgli's presence, ensuring he could be with them for the entire weekend.

The rest of their day was spent basking in the sunshine and savoring the unparalleled views of New Zealand's South Island.
